the accession in the European Union, and
the Greek Cypriot laws and practices being
widely harmonised with the European Union
Law and code of conduct and fully compliant
with the OECD requirements, Cyprus has
become a unique location for offshore services. Cyprus
is widely known as a stable location,

the other accession countries to the

The political system is
(despite the occupation of the Northern
Part by Turkey) a stable presidential democracy

Soviet Union dominated) countries, such as
Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, etc. Cyprus has
traditionally strong links to the CIS, and
has over decades served as a base for Russian and
former CIS countries to
